DEMOCRACY AND COMMUNITY POWER

We can’t have a healthy environment without a healthy democracy!

ACCESS TO our DEMOCRACY SHOULD BE EASY AND ACCESSIBLE

The communities that have historically been excluded from the electoral process are the same ones that are affected by climate injustices. While Latinx communities make up one third of Arizona’s population, we are underrepresented in elected offices and spaces where decisions about our health and our environment are made.
We are committed to helping community members understand decision-maker positions and the areas of our daily lives they affect, and we work to make voting and public participation more accessible to all. We register voters who are historically underrepresented in the political process, paving the way for a broader electorate that better reflects our values and our communities.
Our access to clean air and water, public lands, protection from extreme heat and a safe environment overall is directly linked with the health of our democracy.
