Chispa Arizona started in 2014 with the “Sun, not Coal” campaign urging the state’s big utility companies to invest in clean energy.
In 2016, the Clean Buses for Healthy Niños Campaign advocated for electric buses in schools so our kids are less exposed to health-damaging pollution
Now the Environmental Protection Agency is funding clean buses every year and Arizona schools are on the way to acquiring more than 60 electric school buses.
In the last ten years we have defeated hundreds of bills attacking our democracy at the legislature
Secured $300,000 in funding from the State budget for schools in low-income areas to plant trees on their campuses.
Elevated the voices of our indigenous relatives advocating for the protection of the areas surrounding the Grand Canyon, and thus achieving the designation of Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni – Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument.
