Everyone should have access to safe streets and mobility options, regardless of their income level or car ownership status. By investing in free and electric public transit and infrastructure, we can improve our air quality by having less vehicle emissions. By investing in urban green spaces, cool corridors, and complete streets, we will mitigate the urban heat island effect, and provide more transit equity and options for our most impacted communities.

In this workshop, we will be providing information on resources available to the community to prepare their homes and neighborhoods for the heat. Through the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) program, qualifying Arizonans have the option to weatherize and electrify their home through a rebate program offered by the Governor’s Office of Resiliency.
Join Chispa Arizona’s Clean Air & Energy Comité in Phoenix on Sunday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for “Plantitas: Alternatives for your Health” At this event we will learn about different medicinal plants that help with respiratory health, inflammation, blood sugar management, digestive health, reduce anxiety and so much more.
The purpose of this training is to provide political education and tools to empower our community to get involved with our Comités. We have four Comités, each organizing around an intersectional aspect of environmental justice: Clean Air & Energy, Public Lands, Clean &. Green Campaign (heat mitigation) and Democracy.
