Arizona’s over reliance on fossil fuels is polluting our environment and acceleratingthe warming of our communities, creating a public health crisis thatdisproportionately impacts Latinos, low income families, and people of color.
According to the American Lung Association, Phoenix is the 7th most ozone polluted city in the nation, and Arizona is the third fastest warming state in the nation. Latinos suffer from asthma at higher rates than the broader population. Investing in clean, renewable energy is the most sustainable way we can protect our collective health, environment, and future.
Chispa Arizona is working to advance investment in renewable energy commitments at the state and local level. We are fighting for more accessibility at venues where decisions about our energy future are being made, and demanding just rates and an ambitious transition to clean, renewable energy.
