As a woman of color in Arizona, her experience with racist and sexist policies drew her towards a personal and professional life in politics and advocacy.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n
Vianey\u00a0studied Political Science, International Relations and French at\u00a0Arizona State University<\/a>. After graduation, she joined\u00a0Fred Duval<\/a>\u2019s Arizona gubernatorial campaign as a communications\u00a0staffer.\u00a0Vianey\u00a0has worked with\u00a0Mountain Park Health Center<\/a>, where she focused on telling the story of patients and their access to healthcare.<\/p>\n\n While serving in the nonprofit sector, she was an active participant in multiple grassroots campaigns, including defending reproductive rights with\u00a0Planned Parenthood AZ<\/a>\u00a0and taking racist\u00a0Sheriff Arpaio<\/a>\u00a0out of office with the\u00a0Bazta Arpaio<\/a>\u00a0efforts.<\/p>\n\n In 2018, she became the Spanish Media Director for\u00a0David Garcia<\/a>\u2019s gubernatorial campaign, and worked on State House Representative\u00a0Raquel Teran<\/a>\u2019s campaign for Arizona State House. Later in the year, she became a communications consultant for\u00a0Carlos Garcia<\/a>\u2019s successful\u00a0City of Phoenix<\/a>\u00a0Council campaign.
